While they seemed to be as friends on screen as in real life, many celebrities known for their roles in 90s series were at the heart of numerous scandals that did not fail to shake the celebrity sphere. SALARY INEQUALITIES FOR DAVID DUCHOVNY AND GILLIAN ANDERSON IN “X-FILES”

While they formed an iconic duo in the 90s, no one can deny the fact that David Duchovny and Gilliam Anderson , the leading stars of the series ” X-Files ” absolutely did not get along on the film sets. And they never hid it. Fortunately, when the series returned in 2016 for season 10, the relationship between the two actors changed dramatically and they even became friends. However, it is a completely different scandal that we are going to highlight here. Indeed, in addition to the differences between David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, it was a question of salary that posed a problem. The actress was paid less than her partner and fought for several years to have the same income. As soon as it was broadcast in the 90s, we couldn’t get enough of it as we loved following the stories and adventures of this group of friends from Beverly Hills. We are of course talking about the characters from the cult series “ Bevely Hills 90210 ”. But did you know that tensions reigned behind the scenes of filming? The atmosphere was far from rosy, especially between actresses Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth who played Brenda and Kelly in the series. Friends-enemies both in real life and on screen, it even happened that the two stars came to blows on the set as Jennie Garth confided in her autobiographical book “Deep thoughts from a Hollywood blonde” .

One of their co-stars, Tori Spelling , who is also the daughter of the show’s producer, told her father about the incident in an effort to get Shannen Doherty fired. If there is one series that we loved in the 90s, it is of course ” That ’70s Show “. For its five-star casting, its trendy looks and its chaotic love stories, everything was there for it to become one of our favorite series. However, she did not escape the scandal that raged at the time. Indeed, during the first three seasons of the series, it was Lisa Robin Kelly who played the role of Laurie , Eric’s sister. But that was before being replaced by Christina Moore , due to her alcohol addiction which began to pose a problem during filming. According to the actress, this addiction arose after she suffered a miscarriage, leading to severe depression. Unfortunately, Lisa Robin Kelly never recovered, and will never set foot on the series ” That ’70s Show ” again. His addiction evolved into hard drugs over the years. When she made the decision to go to rehab in 2013, she died a few days after entering due to an accidental mixture of several drugs.

8. CONFLICTS ON THE SET OF “CHARMED”

Between tensions on the film set, budget cuts and lack of consideration on the part of the channel, everything was conducive to scandal. But the best known is undoubtedly  the conflict between Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano which has never ceased to shake the celebrity sphere. In fact, the two actresses absolutely did not get along during filming. So much so that the star of “ Madame is Served ” threatened to leave the series if Shannen Doherty continued to play.
